Have you recently been diagnosed with cancer?
Or are you currently undergoing treatment?
Are you scared, anxious and overwhelmed?
Worried about the treatment and/or its side effects?
Being diagnosed with cancer can have an enormous impact on us and our families. There are so many things to consider. Your emotions are likely to be all over the place. You may feel overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty. You will also be having to deal with the day-to-day logistics - how to manage hospital appointments, work, your relationships, children etc. And if you’re having treatment there may be additional fears related to this, and also various potential side-effects.
I have additional training in hypnotherapy for oncology and can support you on your cancer journey. It’s important to make it clear that I cannot treat the cancer itself. I will leave that up to your expert medical team! But I can help you to navigate your way through all of the emotions, decisions, changes and potential side-affects that you may face along the way.
Talking to your subconscious mind
Your mind is made up of your conscious mind and your subconscious mind. Your conscious mind is the thinking, logical part of your mind – the part that plans, analyses and sets goals. Your subconscious mind is the part of your mind that stores all your beliefs, habits, learned behaviours and fears – many of these things you’re not even aware of. It’s this part of the mind that we talk to in hypnotherapy. Our aim is to manage any unhelpful emotions, create a sense of relaxation and calm, allow you to feel more in control and also manage any physical side-effects.
